Thursday Banjo #1: Alaskan Winter Ale

Since my family has languished through our junior’s ill health lately, I’ll give you a simple, short suggestion if AND ONLY IF you are starting to experience the cold weather.  Drink the Alaskan.  It’s a C# for nose, an A+ for the idea of drinking brewed spruce tips, and an E-flat for depth and punch.

Most Alaskan Ales don’t come with the Banjo Stamp of approval; this one is quite fine.

Those of you not yet experiencing the cold should experiment with your local Porters.  They’ll not quite have the warmth you need when winter actually arrives.

If you have an Oktoberfest near you in progress, you have no business reading the Banjo at this time.  Get outside and drink while you still can.
